You may have seen in the news that the Renters’ Rights Act comes into effect from 1 May. We wanted to explain what this means for you.
In short – nothing is changing for EPIC tenants right now.
The new law is focused on people renting from private landlords. It brings in changes like ending “no fault” evictions and giving private renters more security in their homes.
We know that hearing about changes like this can raise questions, so we want to be clear and open with you. If you’re an EPIC tenant, your tenancy agreement, your rights, and how we work with you all stay the same. There are no changes coming in from 1 May that affect you.
Social housing will be included in these reforms in the future, but not yet. The government has said this will happen later, and we’ll make sure you’re kept informed well in advance of anything changing.
For now, it’s business as usual. We’re here to support you in the same way we always have been.
If you’ve got any questions or just want to talk it through, please get in touch. We’re always happy to help. Contact us on 01782 252575 or reception@epichousing.co.uk.
