Community garden consultation event – Saturday 7 November

Help shape the future of the old allotment site
Share your ideas for a new community garden in Meir

EPIC has secured £20,000 through the Pride in Place Impact Fund (which is funded by the UK Government) to transform the old allotment site at Bordeaux Road in Meir into a new community garden.

Before plans are finalised, we want your ideas.

Join us for a drop-in event:

  • Saturday 7 November
  • 10am – 3pm
  • Normacot Grange Community Centre, Meir

You can drop in at any time throughout the day. So that we know how many people to expect, please click here to let us know you’re coming.

At the event, we’ll use interactive activities and AI technology to help bring ideas to life, allowing you to explore different possibilities for the space and see your suggestions visualised in real time.

We’d like to hear your thoughts on:

  • How the space could be used
  • Features you’d like to see
  • What would make it welcoming and accessible
  • Any safety or security considerations
  • How we can make the biggest impact with the available funding

The aim is to create a safe, attractive and accessible outdoor space where people can meet, relax and enjoy the outdoors. Possible ideas include seating, accessible pathways, planting, sheltered areas and community features, but nothing has been decided yet.

This space is for the community, so we want the community to help shape it.
