EPIC CEO joins Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board

EPIC is delighted to announce that our Chief Executive, Tracey Johnson, has been appointed as a member of the Bentilee and Ubberley Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board.

The Board, which held its first meeting on 16 July 2026, will play a key role in shaping how up to £20 million of government investment is used over the next ten years to support the future community and residents of Bentilee and Ubberley. Its purpose is to ensure that decisions are driven by the people who live, work and spend time in the community, creating lasting improvements that reflect local priorities.

As an organisation based in Bentilee, EPIC has always believed that thriving neighbourhoods are built by listening to local people, working in partnership and creating opportunities for communities to influence the decisions that affect them. Those principles are at the heart of both the Pride in Place programme and EPIC Connection, which creates opportunities for tenants and communities to influence decisions and help shape services and neighbourhoods.

The Neighbourhood Board will meet regularly throughout the year, working with residents, community organisations, businesses and public sector partners to develop a shared vision and oversee investment in the area.

Community engagement sits at the heart of the programme, with a wide range of activities planned to ensure local voices shape future priorities and funding decisions.

Speaking about her appointment, Tracey Johnson, Chief Executive of EPIC, said:

“I am incredibly proud to be joining the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board and to have the opportunity to represent both EPIC and the people and communities we serve. Bentilee and Ubberley are communities full of resilience, ambition and potential. This investment is about far more than funding – it’s about empowering local people to shape the future of their neighbourhood and ensuring decisions are influenced by those who know the area best.

As a housing provider rooted in Bentilee, we see every day the difference that strong partnerships and genuine community involvement can make. I look forward to working alongside fellow Board Members, residents and partners to help create positive, lasting change that benefits tenants and the wider community.”

Get involved

Over the coming months there will be plenty of opportunities for residents to have their say through community events, drop-in sessions, environmental activities, newsletters and engagement events across Bentilee and Ubberley. The programme is designed to meet people where they already are, making it easier than ever for everyone to contribute their ideas and help shape the area’s future.

These opportunities will help people find out more about Pride in Place and share their views on what matters most to them.

At EPIC, we actively encourage tenants to get involved. Whether you attend an event, complete a survey or simply stop for a conversation, your views can help shape the future of Bentilee and Ubberley for years to come.
