Tracey Johnson – Chief Executive Officer

Tracey brings over 18 years of experience in social housing across Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Staffordshire. She has served as both an executive and non-executive director in housing, education, and the charity sector. As a resident of Stoke-on-Trent for the past decade, Tracey deeply appreciates the community’s warmth and has actively contributed to establishing her new home.

In her role as CEO of EPIC Housing, Tracey is dedicated to working closely with tenants and the community, especially during these challenging times. Her commitment to people is underscored by her expertise in governance and housing regulation.

Notably, Tracey received an MBE in 2021 for her outstanding work during the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting local charities in Staffordshire and promoting workforce well-being in the financial services sector.

Cindy Gleghorn – Director of Housing

Cindy was appointed as Director of Housing in August 2022. She brings over 30 years’ experience in housing and is passionate about the design and delivery of great services to residents and customers.

Having worked at both a strategic and operational level, Cindy will be looking at refreshing service delivery at EPIC Housing. As part of her role, Cindy also has the responsibility for the for compliance with the consumer standards.

Jon Parkes – Director of Asset Management & Building Compliance

Jon has worked in social housing for over 11 years within the Staffordshire area, with strategic and operational experience in property maintenance, asset management and building compliance.

Jon brings a wealth of knowledge with a strong background in building surveying.

Jon is responsible for the Safety and Quality Standard in line with the consumer standards.

Sharon Shaw – Director of Resources & Company Secretary

Sharon was appointed as Director of Resources & Company Secretary in August 2024 with responsibility for Finance, HR, ICT & Change and Governance.

She brings 33 years’ experience in finance, 27 within Housing in Staffordshire. Born and brought up in Stoke, Sharon has her roots in the community and is proud to be part of its future. Sharon also takes on the role of Company Secretary for EPIC.

Meet The Senior Leadership Team

Dan Glass – Head of Finance

Dan has worked at EPIC Housing for 20 years in various roles and has worked at both operational and strategic level. Dan’s main responsibilities are to lead on EPIC’s Financial Governance by ensuring that financial performance information presented is accurate, clear, relevant and objective.

Another of Dan’s key roles is to work closely with the Director of Resources to develop and maintain a long-term financial strategy to underpin the organisations financial viability.

Kelly Heath – Head of IT, People & Change

Kelly joined EPIC in August 2022. Kelly’s portfolio includes human resources, learning and development, ICT, communication, health and safety, policy and performance and business support.

Kelly brings a wealth of experience, predominantly from the vastly regulated Financial Services sector, Learning and Development, HR, Quality and Compliance along with an innovative and dynamic approach, supporting and underpinning a developing culture of continuous improvement at EPIC Housing.

Kelly is also the Data Protection Lead for EPIC Housing.

Simon Worthington – Repairs & Voids Manager

Simon has worked in the social housing industry for over 20 years, in various ‘repairs and void’ roles. Simon is a member of the Chartered Institute of Builders and has been at EPIC since November 2022. He has been a pivotal part in the improvement of the void turnaround times and the increase in the repairs completed within target timescales.

Simon’s role at EPIC is to oversee the management of the Repairs and Void Contractors, as well as the EPIC Property Surveyors and Asset Assistant, to ensure EPIC and its tenants are getting the best service possible.

Garry Abbott – Business Intelligence Lead

Garry has worked in business support roles improving data, systems, and processes for over 20 years, including the last 9 years within the Social Housing and Charity sector in Staffordshire.

He joined EPIC as their first Business Intelligence Lead in May 2024, with a remit to introduce and enhance modern reporting and analysis capability, as well as working with his team to streamline and improve systems and processes.

Mark Bourne – Customer Services & Resident Involvement Team Leader

Mark was appointed as Customer Services & Resident Involvement Team Leader in September 2023.

Mark has over 20 years’ experience in social housing, including 15 years’ experience in tenant engagement, community development, supporting voluntary sector organisations and partnership working.

Mark’s role includes managing the Customer Services Team, administering and responding to complaints, and developing the structure of tenant involvement at EPIC Housing, to ensure that all tenants can be confident that their voices are heard and they can have a say in the work that we do and the services we deliver.

Helen Vaughan – Finance Manager

Helen has worked in various roles in charity finance for over a decade and joined EPIC in November 2022.

As a qualified chartered accountant, Helen brings extensive knowledge in charity finance, HMRC regulations, and compliance with audit requirements, ensuring robust financial management and adherence to regulatory standards.

Chris Panting – Housing Manager

Chris has worked in social housing for almost 30 years. Whilst at EPIC he has previously held the posts of Housing Officer and later Income Services Officer.

He holds a Chartered Institute of Housing, Level 4 Certificate in Housing and has been managing our Housing Team since 2017.

Chris’ role at EPIC is to oversee the delivery of our housing services, including our allocations, income management and tenancy enforcement processes. He also manages our Housing Officers and Caretaking service.

Joanne Andrew – Capital and Compliance Lead

Jo has worked in the social housing sector for 35 years working in the local area and brings a wealth of experience within Property Services.

In Jo’s previous roles she was responsible for Void Management, Responsive Repairs, Compliance, Contract and Asset Management with a strong belief that the customer is key to delivering an effective repairs service.

Jo’s role at Epic is to manage our compliance areas, making sure customers feel safe in their homes. She also manages our planned maintenance programmes, stock condition data and contract management.
