EPIC Housing Announces Alice Charity as 2024-25 Charity of the Year

EPIC Housing is delighted to announce that it has selected Alice Charity as its Charity of the Year for 2024-25. This partnership reflects EPIC Housing’s commitment to supporting local communities and enhancing the lives of families in need throughout Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas.

EPIC Housing, a community-based housing association, is dedicated to not only providing homes but also empowering tenants with the resources and support they need to thrive, while making a positive impact on the wider community. By partnering with Alice Charity, EPIC Housing aims to make a positive impact on local families.

The Alice Charity believes in providing strong foundations and diverse services to help individuals thrive. Their unwavering commitment to wellness, kindness, and community advancement drives them to develop sustainable solutions, support families, and make a difference. There are three main services they offer to the community:

  1. Big Cup Parent and Toddler Group – this free group currently runs at 7 different locations throughout Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme. The group offers learning through play as well as a supportive environment for parents and carers.
  2. People’s Pantry – a three-day emergency supply of food, baby products and toiletries to local families who find themselves without the basic living essentials they desperately need. Families do not need to be referred to this scheme, they just reach out to Alice and they will help.
  3. Family Support Services – Alice’s extensive and experienced Family Services Team build the confidence and aspirations of vulnerable families in the local community. They work with families who need on-going emotional support, for as long as they need it.

EPIC Housing CEO, Tracey Johnson said “I am delighted that our colleagues at EPIC voted for The Alice Charity as our charity of choice for 2024-25. The work and purpose of the Charity very much ties in with the ethos of EPIC. I am confident that through close partnership we will be able to do great things together for the benefit of our tenants and the communities in which we work.”
