EPIC Housing Staff and Tenants Enjoy Lord Mayor’s Charity Afternoon Tea

On the afternoon of Wednesday 11 December, tenants and staff of EPIC Housing attended the Lord Mayor’s Charity Afternoon Tea at the prestigious King’s Hall in Stoke-on-Trent.

The table of guests included EPIC Housing’s CEO, Tracey Johnson, and the Chair of the Board, Simon Wilson. Also in attendance were five tenants and two dedicated staff members.

Alongside the afternoon tea made up of delicious savoury and sweet items, attendees were treated to festive performances by talented locals. There were performances from the Penkhull Village Brass, the City Songbirds from Weston Junior Academy, the St. Margaret Ward Catholic Academy Jazz Orchestra and the Dharshanodiyaa School Of Bharathanatiyam.

Beyond the festivities, the occasion served to raise funds for the Lord Mayor’s chosen charities: Savana, Stoke Aiming High and Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank.

CEO Tracey Johnson said “It was a fantastic event raising much-needed funds for great causes. I was delighted that EPIC’s table was shared by five of our tenants and having the opportunity to spend time together was a pleasure. We plan to do even more in 2024, listening and engaging with our tenants, although perhaps in slightly less amazing surroundings!

Best wishes for the season festivities’ to all.”
