February Community Voice event in Bentilee
EPIC’s latest Community Voice meeting was held on Saturday 8 February at the Pavillion on Ubberley Road.
Six tenants came along and shared how they feel about being an EPIC tenant, what we do well, and where we can improve services. They were also treated to a Staffordshire oatcake!
Ensuring that our Board is understanding the types of things that are impacting tenants and the way in which EPIC delivers its services, each meeting has a Board Member in attendance. Margaret Dodwell joined in on this occasion and will provide feedback to the full Board.
Overall, the tenants who attended were satisfied with the services EPIC provide, although there were some points raised about improvements to garden maintenance. This is something we’ll be looking at in the very near future when we restart our Estate Walks, and in discussions with our Tenant Ambassadors.
Estate Walks will involve tenants and staff walking around our estates, looking at things in the environment as well as in those homes that have a communal space.
If you’d like to know more about the Estate Walks or you’d like to join in, please email Mark Bourne at m.bourne@epichousing.co.uk – and more information on this will be available very soon.
Our next Community Voice will be held on Wednesday 14 May at 6.30pm to 8.30pm in Bentilee (venue to be confirmed). Simon Wilson, Chair of the Board, will be joining this event. Please watch out for more details in due course, including a fish and chip supper!
