Allocations Policy Consultation – Consultation Closed and Next Steps

Our consultation period on our proposed Allocations Policy has now closed. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to send us their comments; in total, there have been 12 responses. The feedback received includes the following:

  • A strong sense that a move to a banded approach from the date of application was a positive step forward and would better prioritise those in need;
  • A concern that those who had been on the waiting list for a number of months would then be re-prioritised to a band that would increase their waiting time for a home; and
  • Responses around individual circumstances, which we have responded to personally.

These responses will be shared with Board members at our next Board Meeting in August for wider consideration as part of the proposed Allocations Policy.  We will provide a further update once the meeting has taken place.

In the meantime, our current allocation policy will remain in place and can be found here. Our waiting list remains paused to new applicants, although current EPIC tenants can still apply for a transfer.

If you have any questions regarding a current application for housing with EPIC, or if you are an existing EPIC tenant and wish to apply for a transfer, please contact our Customer Services Team on 01782 252575 (Mon-Fri 9 am to 4 pm) or email allocations@epichousing.co.uk.
